Chinese Taipei opens its Group A campaign in the FIBA Asia Women's Cup in Bangalore against North Korea.

North Korea, meanwhile, qualified for the top-tier event after crushing Thailand 66-50 in the promotion/relegation playoff two years ago.

Pak Hyang-Jong and Ro Suk-Yong are hoping to duplicate their impressive performances in Wuhan where they emerged as the top two scorers of the tournament. Pak put up 19.2 points while Ro averaged 16 points and a tournament-best 11.5 rebounds.
