The Montenegrins are currently tied with Hungary with 2-2 records but they enjoy a head-to-head edge having beaten the Hungarians 72-48 earlier in the tournament. An unlikely loss to Romania, however, coupled with a Hungary win over unbeaten Spain will drop the Balkan side to fourth spot and a date with the top team in Group D (Serbia, Latvia or Russia) in the Round-of-16.

NBA star Nikola Vucevic will lead the Montenegrins in this duel and he will get support from frontcourt partner Bojan Dubljevic and naturalized guard Tyrese Rice. Nikola Ivanovic and Nikola Pavlicevic are also key players for head coach Bogdan Tanjevic.

Winless Romania, meanwhile, is just playing for pride as it's no longer in contention for a place in the knockout phase. Euroleague veteran Vlad Moldoveanu is the No. 1 scoring option for head coach Marcel Tenter.

Also expected to play quality minutes are Andrei Mandache, Radu Paliciuc, Octavian Calota and Catalin Baciu.

This is the first meeting between Montenegro and Romania in this competition.
