Russia vs Serbia FIBA Eurobasket live stream: Final spot up for grabs

Russia and Serbia duel in the semifinal of the Eurobasket at the Sinan Erdem Dome on Friday.

The two teams earlier met in the group stage with the Russians escaping with a 75-72 victory. Alexey Shved led the Russians with 22 points while Bogdan Bogdanovic and Boban Marjanovic paced the Serbians with 19 points apiece.

Russia advanced to the medal round of this competition for the first time since 2011 after beating Greece 74-69 on Wednesday. Shved had 26 points while Timofey Mozgov tallied 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Vitaliy Fridzon, Nikita Kurbanov, Andrey Vorontsevich and Dmitrii Khvostov are the other key players for head coach Sergey Bazarevich. Russia last reached the final of this competition in 2007 when it won the title in Spain. 

Serbia, meanwhile, blasted Italy 83-67 to reach the medal round for the second-straight time. Bogdanovic led the Balkan giants with 22 points. 

Head coach Aleksandar Djordjevic will again count on the Sacramento Kings guard to deliver along with Marjanovic, Milan Macvan, Ognjen Kuzmic and Vladimir Lucic. Serbia last reached the final in 2009 when it lost to Spain.

The winner of this game will play either defending champion Spain or Slovenia in the final.
