Spain vs Slovenia FIBA Eurobasket live stream: Spain and Slovenia clash in semifinals

Defending champion Spain and Slovenia clash in the first semifinal of the Eurobasket at the Sinan Erdem Dome in Istanbul on Thursday.

The first semifinal game of the Eurobasket 2017 pits defending champion Spain against Slovenia at the Sinan Erdem Dome in Istanbul.

The Spaniards extended their unbeaten run after beating Germany 84-72 in their quarterfinal duel on Tuesday. They trailed by three points after the first period but took control in the third period. Marc Gasol led the way with 28 points and 10 rebounds.

Pau Gasol added 19 points while Sergio Rodriguez tallied 11 points and seven assists. The three players are again expected to deliver as the Spaniards aim to reach the championship game for the fifth time in the last six editions of the continental event. They will get support from playmaker Ricky Rubio and brothers Guillermo and Juancho Hernangomez.

Head coach Sergio Scariolo will also count on Fernando San Emeterio, Joan Sastre and Juan Carlos Navarro.

Slovenia, meanwhile, advanced to the semifinals for the first time since 2009 after outlasting Latvia 103-97. Youngster Luka Doncic led the Slovenians with 27 points and nine rebounds while NBA star Goran Dragic had 26 and eight assists.

Backing up the prolific duo in this duel are Klemen Prepelic and big men Anthony Randolph and Gasper Vidmar.

This is the first meeting between Spain and Slovenia in this competition since 2013. The Slovenians won their preliminary round duel 78-69 with Dragic leading the way with 18 points, seven assists and six rebounds. Marc Gasol paced the Spaniards with 17 points and seven boards.
