Celtic come into their weekend encounter on the back of a thumping 5-0 defeat at home to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night and after some stinging criticism from their manager Brendan Rodgers, who played like "under-12s" for a time during the ill-fated encounter.
The Scottish champions were 3-0 down at the break in their Group B opener and never really looked at the races against what the Irishman claimed were the were "the potential champions".
"You have to look after the ball and make it work for you and, first half, we didn't do that - we played like under-12s at times," Rodgers told BBC Sport.
"It is confidence, it's belief. We are obviously missing some decisive players that can help us at this level, but it is always going to be very, very tough. That is the reality."
The result marked the Bhoys' heaviest home defeat in European competition and was surely a massive blow to confidence for their already slim hopes of progressing to the last 16 with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich also in their group.
Celtic had just returned to the winning ways last weeknd after a couple of slip-ups (4-3 loss at Astana and 1-1 home draw against St. Johnstone) with a very convincing display against Hamilton Academical (1-4).
After ending their four-match losing streak with a 1-1 home draw against Partick Thistle with a late equalizer from Alex Schalk, meanwhile, County travel to Glasgow for a tough away day and a potential backlash at Celtic Park.
The Hoops have shown off great form in the attacking third led by in-form Scott Sinclair and bagged 15 goals in their five outings prior to the visit of PSG, despite keeping a clean sheet on just two of those occasions.
That said, Ross did hold Celtic to a 2-2 draw in front of their home fans earlier this year, with a 90’ equalizer from Liam Boyce.
