Juventus will host struggling Crotone for their Matchday 37 clash on Sunday hoping to secure their Serie A top spot, confirm the double in front of the home fans, and boost their confidence ahead of the Champions League final. While the visitors do come into the match in desperate need of points, it’s a longshot they can take anything from this fixture despite having recently picked up their form.

The Bianconeri come into the match after securing Coppa Italia silverware against Lazio earlier this week (2-0 win at Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday) and we do feel they’re as confident as ever. Having returned to the winning ways after the disappointing 3-1 win at Roma, they’ll now want to seal the deal and celebrate the league title with the home fans.

Crotone don’t seem to have the same sort of firepower here but they’ll be motivated to make an impact. They’ve managed to hold Milan to a 1-1 draw and build on it with two wins in their last two outings (beating Pescara and Udinese), coming just a point behind the 17th placed Empoli.

They’ve picked up their goalscoring form (netting six in their last five games) but they now come up against the league’s toughest defensive line and we don’t see them building on the tally. Juventus have kept a clean sheet in four of their last six home games across competitions, despite a tough schedule.

Interestingly, the sides have met just once since their clashes in Serie B back in 2006/07 and the Bianconeri secured the points at Stadio Ezio Scida with a 0-2 win. Crotone are yet to find the net in their head-to-head encounters against Juve and we don’t feel they’ll manage to end that drought this weekend.
