Bayern Munich will look to bounce back from a shock league defeat when they host Mainz 05 on Saturday, while RB Leipzig bid to make it three league wins on the bounce at home Gladbach this Saturday in the Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich v Mainz 05 (14:30 BST)

Bayern Munich slumped to a surprise 2-0 defeat when they visited Bundesliga a week ago, but the title favourites bounced back form that with a 3-0 win over Anderlecht in the opening match of the Champions League group stage and they should not get back on track on the domestic front when they entertain Mainz 05 on Saturday afternoon. The visitors did end a sequence of back-to-back defeats with a good win over Bayer Leverkusen last time out, but Bayern are a dominant force on their home turf and it should lead to three points and a clean sheet here.

Eintracht Frankfurt v Augsburg (14:30 BST)

Eintracht Frankfurt made the perfect return from the international break as they recorded their first win of the season – a 1-0 win at Borussia Monchengladbach – a week ago. They will now look to register their first win in front of the home fans on Saturday afternoon and I believe they will do just that. Visitors Augsburg did cruise to a 3-0 win over Cologne last time out, but they continue to struggle on the road and they have now managed only 13 goals in their last 18 away games. That makes them perfect opposition for Frankfurt, who can win and keep a clean sheet too.

Stuttgart v Wolfsburg (14:30 BST)

Stuttgart were unable to build on the win over Mainz as they were beaten 3-1 at Schalke last time out, and they will now take on a Wolfsburg team that have responded to an opening-day loss to Borussia Dortmund by taking four points form their last two games. I would not be shocked to see the visitors leave with all of the spoils on Saturday, but I am not fully convinced because they have found goals hard to come by so far. The same can be said for Stuttgart so I suggest backing this to be a low-scoring game.

Werder Bremen v Schalke 04 (14:30 BST)

Schalke 04 rebounded from the disappointing defeat at Hannover with a 3-1 win over Stuttgart a week ago and they will now aim to record back-to-back wins for the first time this season when they visit a Werder Bremen side that have made a poor start to the season, taking one point from their first three games. Bremen have faced some tough opposition in this run so this probably is not the time to press the panic button, but Schalke will be full of confidence have already got the better of RB Leipzig and Stuttgart this season, and I fancy them to get the better of Bremen on Saturday too.

RB Leipzig v Borussia Monchengladbach (17:30 BST)

RB Leipzig issued the perfect response to their opening day defeat by recording back-to-back victories, and they have followed that up by recording a decent home draw when they made their Champions League debut against Monaco in midweek. A return to domestic duty on Saturday evening can result in a return to winning ways for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side but Borussia Monchengladbach can give their supporters something to cheer by finding the back of the net. Leipzig have, after all, managed only one clean sheet in their last four competitive fixtures while the visitors have been shut out only once so far this season.
