We have another bumper weekend of Italian football to look forward to with some important questions set to be answered. So will Roma return to winning ways in Serie A after an extended break and can Inter Milan maintain their 100% record when they visit winless Crotone?

Crotone v Inter Milan (14:00 BST)

It has been the perfect start to the season for an Inter Milan side aiming to end Juventus’ lengthy dominance of Italian football. Luciano Spalletti’s side have won three straight games so far – including a 3-1 success at title rivals Roma – and they have conceded just one goal during this blistering start. They are now taking on a Crotone side that have taken just one point from their first three games while failing to score a single goal, so it will come as no surprise that I am backing Inter to get the job done here. The Nerazzurri should make it four wins from four Serie A matches on Saturday afternoon.

Fiorentina v Bologna (17:00 BST)

Fiorentina kick-started their campaign a week ago as they ended a sequence of back-to-back defeats by thrashing Hellas Verona, and they will now aim to register their first home win of the campaign when they entertain Bologna this weekend. The visitors made a solid start to the 2017/18 season by taking four points from their first two games, but they were soundly beaten by Napoli a week ago and back-to-back defeats is on the cards for Roberto Donadoni’s side. Fiorentina will be brimming with confidence after last week’s rout of Verona and they have an excellent recent record against Bologna, going six games unbeaten and winning five of them. Back the home side here.

Roma v Hellas Verona (19:45 BST)

Roma went into the international break on the back of a 3-1 defeat to title rivals Inter Milan and they have been made to wait for their opportunity to bounce back. Last weekend’s trip to Sampdoria was postponed, but they did return to action in midweek with a Champions League draw against Atletico Madrid and they should make a winning return to domestic duty on Saturday night. Hellas Verona were hammered 5-0 when they hosted Fiorentina a week ago and another convincing defeat is on the cards for them at the Stadio Olimpico.
