Judd Trump will partner Barry Hawkins for England at the Snooker World Cup after the 24 line-ups were announced for the biannual team event which runs from July 3-9 in Wuxi.

It is all change for the English as Trump and Hawkins – ranked third and fifth in the world respectively – prepare to make their debuts in the tournament, as world number one Mark Selby chose not to enter this year.

They are joined by Ding Junhui and Liang Wenbo, who reunite for China A once again and are searching for a second title after lifting the trophy in 2011, while the China B duo of Zhou Yuelong and Yan Bingtao will have the opportunity to defend the crown they captured after announcing themselves to the world two years ago.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong also remain unchanged with world number six Marco Fu joined by 47-year-old Au Chi Wai once again, as do the Republic of Ireland pair of Fergal O’Brien and former World champion Ken Doherty and Brazil’s Igor Figueiredo and Itaro Santos.

Elsewhere, John Higgins will be aiming to go one step better with Scotland this year alongside Anthony McGill, who makes his debut, while Australia’s Neil Robertson is joined by Kurt Dunham and Ryan Day partners Mark Williams for Wales.

Mark Allen is also looking to go the extra step after reaching the 2011 Snooker World Cup final with Northern Ireland. The Pistol is joined by Joe Swail on his return to the event, as Thepchaiya Un-Nooh and Noppon Saengkham team up for Thailand.

Luca Brecel joins forces with 21-year-old Jeff Jacobs for Belgium, while Kurt Maflin is partnered by Christopher Watts to complete the Norway team for this year.

As well as some of the best players in the world, there will be an opportunity for a few lesser-known ones to gain some exposure and experience of playing in a big event.

That is the case for Finland, where former Shoot Out champion Robin Hull is partnered by Heikki Niva, and Iran’s pairing of China Open semi-finalist Hossein Vafaei alongside Soheil Vahedi.
