Portugal will play host to three other FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup winners at the 2017 BSWW Mundialito as defending champions Brazil, two-time champions Russia and 2005 winners France descend on the Iberian peninsula.

The action gets underway on Friday with Brazil and Russia going head-to-head at 1430 BST before Portugal and France face off at 1600.

And Portugal coach Mario Narciso feels the tournament is wide open with any one of the four competing nations capable of winning the tournament.

"This event is always a great opportunity for the sport of beach soccer and I know the public will get behind the team like they always do when we play at home," Narciso told a pre-tournament press conference. "The result is unpredictable, any team can win it, and nobody is unbeatable although Brazil as world champions deserve our respect of course."

Brazil take on France at 1430 on Saturday, while Portugal and 2011 and 2013 world Champions Russia clash in the 1600 kick off.

Round robin play concludes on Sunday with France tackling Russia at 1430 ahead of the eagerly anticipated match up between Portugal and Brazil at 1600.
