About Western & Southern OpenThe Cincinnati Masters is an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event and a Premier 5 tournament on the WTA Tour held annually at the Lindner Family Tennis Center. It began life as the Cincinnati Open in 1899 and has come a long way since its humble origins to be ranked as a top tier tournament on the men's tour.

The Western & Southern Open is part of the Emirates Airline US Open Series and regularly attracts close to 200,000 fans through the turn styles over the course of the competition.

Roger Federer is a seven-time winner in the men's singles, while Andy Murray (2008, 2011) and Rafael Nadal (2013) are other notable champions.

Serena Williams (2014, 2015), Victoria Azarenka (2013) and Maria Sharapova (2011) have all won the women's singles.
