China vs Italy FIVB World Grand Prix live stream: China targets 2nd win against Italy

China is aiming to beat Italy for the second time in the FIVB World Grand Prix when they face off in Macau on Friday.

China is aiming for its second win over Italy in the FIVB World Grand Prix when the two teams square off at the Macau Forum on Friday.

Led by Gong Xiangyu, Liu Xiaotong and Yuan Xinyue, the reigning Olympic champions posted a 25-20, 20-25, 25-23, 25-20 victory in their first meeting in Kunshan last Friday. Gong topscored with 13 points while Liu and Yuan had 12 and 11, respectively. Wang Yuanyuan also made an impact with eight points with four blocks.

Five Italians scored in double figures with Indre Sorokaite leading the way with 14 points.

China (2-1) is currently ranked sixth in the overall table with five points. They don't need to finish in the top five since they are guaranteed of a place in the Final Round being the host nation.

Italy (1-2) earned two points in Week 1 and is currently in ninth spot. The good news for Italians fans is their beloved team is coming off a five-set win over Russia on Sunday where teenage sensation Paola Ogechi Egonu delivered 39 points. The 18-year-old will get support from Sorokaite, Lucia Bosetti, Miryam Fatime Sylla and Cristina Chirichella.
