The Netherlands test Belgium in their opening match in Week 2 of the FIVB World Grand Prix in Yekaterinburg on Friday.

The two teams will see action in Pool F1 along with host Russia and the Netherlands.

The Dutch kicked off their campaign with back-to-back straight-set wins over the Dominican Republic and Thailand in Apeldoorn before losing to Japan in five sets last Sunday.

They are currently ranked third in the overall team standings behind Serbia and the United States with seven points. Celeste Plak, Robin De Kruijf and Anne Buijs will lead the Dutch in this match-up of neighbors.

Belgium, in contrast, lost its first three matches and failed to pick up a point. They were swept by Brazil and Serbia and managed to win a set against Turkey.

Freya Aelbrecht, Celine Van Gestel and Charlotte Leys are the top guns for the Belgians.

The Netherlands beat Belgium in four sets in their last meeting in this competition last year.
